Fashion designer Jason Wu credits Taiwan for his success
Filed under: Uncategorized

New York-based fashion designer Jason Wu said while meeting with President Ma Ying-jeou Oct. 7 that Taiwan has had a big influence on his life by making him try to do his best in whatever endeavor he pursues.

“I am Taiwanese. No matter where I go, I was still born in Taiwan,” Wu said during the meeting at the Presidential Office.

“I’m very glad to be back in Taiwan to share my successful experiences with everybody here,” he added.

Wu rose to international fame last year when U.S. first lady Michelle Obama wore one of the gowns he designed to the presidential inaugural ball after her husband was sworn into office.
